Agent Supports Community
When she's not working to help her clients find their perfect homes, local real estate agent Janine Vairo has become involved with the organization, Move For Hunger, which helps coordinate food donations when people leave their homes.
The organization believes many people throw out a good deal of stuff when they move - stuff that is oftentimes food that could be delivered to a family in need rather than put in a garbage can.
Vairo is the point person at Higgins Group-Vanderblue Team where she helps clear the pantry shelves of their sellers' homes and drop off the donated food to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.
Prior to joining the Higgins Group last year, she was an agent at a large real estate firm in Darien and Rowayton. She has been licensed for four years.
Before that, Vairo worked in New York City as a media planner and advertising sales representative.
As a people person, when it comes to real estate the agent is committed to understanding her client's needs and serving them with honesty, integrity, attention to detail and professionalism. She is an energetic individual who has extensive experience selling residential properties in Connecticut.
Her positive attitude, diligent follow-up, excellent negotiating skills, open communication and warmth are key to earning the high level of trust that her clients place in her. Plus, she has the ability to find just the right home for her prospective buyer and is able to efficiently and accurately assess market values when working with sellers.
Vairo, who has been a resident of Darien for the past 14 years, is married with two young children and holds a bachelor's degree in marketing communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
She is also the creator of PartyStyle Box where she blogs about recipes and party designs. She also, not surprisingly, blogs about real estate trends, home design, and home décor on local media sites.
